If the Biba for Outlook plug-in was disabled by Outlook (slow to start or indicates that it caused Outlook to crash) you should be able to enable following these steps.

  • From Outlook click File and then choose Info
  • There should be a Manage Add-Ins option toward the bottom of the screen

  • Click Manage Add-Ins

  • Locate Biba for Outlook, and click "Always enable this add-in"
  • Note: After the 2.12 2.13.4060 hotfix, you may see the Biba for Outlook plug-in listed twice, please click "Always enable this add-in" for both.

If you do not see the Biba for Outlook plug-in listed in on this page (or do not see the Manage Add-ins option). Please use the instructions below to enable Biba for Outlook.

  • Outlook File > Options
  • Select Add ins
  • Select Disabled Items from the Manage dropdown

  • Click the Biba for Outlook plug-in and click Enable
  • Restart Outlook
  • Outlook File > Options
  • Select Add-ins (Biba for Outlook will now show under Inactive Application Add-ins)
  • Choose COM Add-ins from the Manage dropdown and click Go

  • Check to enable the Biba for Outlook plug-in and click OK

  • Restart Outlook
  • A restart of your machine may be required. Outlook cache's some of its plug-ins between restarts of Outlook. Restarting your computer and then launching Outlook will reload the Biba for Outlook plug-in.

  • Remove the REG_BINARY keys found in DisabledItems and CrashingAddinList
  • Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins

  • Reinstall the Biba plugin for Outlook and then open Outlook and see if it is enabled on the calendar tab.
